Hole # 4
One of the most intimidating moments of golf is the long carry. Hole #4 requires that long carry from the back tee. The huge rocks banking the creek across the fairway seem two miles away, but don’t worry, they’re only 235 yards! Grip it and rip it since there is only one tree near the landing area on the left and wide open to the right.
When the creek has been successfully negotiated, the next challenge is picking the right club for the 20 feet of elevation change between the landing area and green. The backdrop of the green is an amphitheater setting around the entire rear of the green. With a bunker short left, tree protecting the left side of the difficult front to back sloping green, clearing the creek on the tee shot does not a par make.
